I have loved where its unwanted
Rejection sits in boxes in my attic
They say my place is haunted
But I say it’s full of magic
I have rejected love from the lost as well
Paid karma back in full for my pain
But now my rose sits on a cross
Pedals unfolding from within
I’ve made a bed nice and cozy
It sits below in my basement
Down here they actually know me
At least I know darkness is waiting
I climb up my attic and tell my self
“Today I heal what’s locked away”
But as I sit and go thru my boxes
A faint whisper tells me, “Not today”
So back to the basement I go with my ghosts
Pieces of me I killed off for protection
Insecurities that nobody knows
