i genuinely think they were trying to copy Twilight in a way and true blood? but I love how they made the main female protagonist not so stupid and pathetic> like sure she's a little oblivious but she's actually pretty good compared to other vampire love interests, and I think that's probably why I like her so much cause she's actually not that bad of a female figure in media. i actually kinda like how they wrote her to be a little oblivious because most girls are I think and we can all kinda look up to her for one she's not super girly and for 2 she's not a complete tomboy (I HATE girly things all my friends are boys) type of tomboy, like shes actually smart and she reads and has a journal BUT she cheerleads and has girly friends (caroline) I also like how they made bonnie a witch, cause most friends and side girls in these types of shows are kinda bad (think any of Bellas friends from twilight) but they made bonnie have powers and not just the main girl, WHICH makes total sense BECAUSE the main girl has so many things going on with her if they made her a witch it would just be to much!
