Colorado Trip

Day 1 Mon.4/12/21 We got up early in the morning to pack all our things for our trip. We waited until my Aunt Pam and Lisa made it to our house. It was very long ride on our way to Colorado springs. We stop in Long Island, Nebraska for Lunch. The waitress at the restaurant was very nice. We stopped at some gas stations along the way for water and snacks. When we made it to Colorado Springs it was nighttime. Downtown Colorado springs was very beautiful. We ate at this place called Rasta Pasta they had good bread and good Pasta. Then we went back to our hotel and headed for bed. 


Day 2 Tuesday.4/13/21: We woke up early the morning. we got in the elevater then had some coffee and breakfast. We decided to go to Manitou springs. It was a cute little town with lots of shops and everything. My mom got a beautiful piece of Angel art. It was beautiful to go into the little art shops and look at the art. We headed for a bar to eat lunch. I had a yummy looking chicken sandwitch. We then headed to the airport to pick up my sister Teresa. After we picked my sister up. we went for dinner at Rudy's barbeque. They had very delicous ribs. Then we got back to the hotel and fell asleop. 

Day 3 Wed. 4/14/21: I woke up early then took a nice hot show. I headed to elevater. I met up with mom and aunt pam in the breakfast area for breakfast and coffee. We headed to the The Royal Gorge. It was very high. We walked along the bridge and kept on saying to myself "Is this bridge sturdy?" I kept on going straight not looking down. After we got over the bridge we went to the theater to learn the history of the Royal Gorge. Then we headed up to ride the Gandola. It was hard getting up the hill because you get tired easily. When we got on the Gandola i was really scared. It was so high up. I thought that the Gandola was going to fall. Thankfully we made it over safely. Then Teresa and Lisa decided to go ziplining across the gorge. We waited for them but, sadly they didn't get to zipline because it was too windy. Then we drove and got to see The Garden of the Gods. It had the most beautiful red rocks i've ever seen. We saw some mountain goat while we were passing through the garden of the gods. I got a selfie with the balancing rock. I felt like a mountain goat while i was climbing the rocks. We then headed to a bar and met up with my aunt and mom's cousins daughter Nicole. She was very cool to hang with. we had some good beers and pizza. We went back to the hotel then we all had a good sleep. I slept on the couch bed. 

Day 4 Thurs 4/15/21: The next morning I got up then got dress and ready. I headed to the breakfast area and had some pancakes. We headed to old colorado city. It had lots of interesting shops and stuff. Mom and Pam found some earrings that they wanted so badly. we walked and found a chocolate shop we got some peanut butter fudge which was really good.  Then we ate a fancy Italian restaurant of course I had tortellini which was very good and they did have very good bread. We had dessert afterwards a chocolate cake which tasted so rich and good. Then we headed back to the hotel and rested. It started to rain and snow so we stayed in the hotel for the day. We had Mexican for dinner of course they didn't get my order so Aunte pam and lisa split there dinner's with me. We watched part of the goonies then watched dazed and confused which was good movie. then i feel asleep after the movie was over. 

Day 5 Friday 4/16/21: I got up the next morning got ready took my shower then head for breakfast. The snow filled the whole mountain in white. It looked so pretty. We went to Pueblo, Colorado then stopped at the Pueblo trading post museum. It was a nice little museum. I learned that Colorado was the 38th state. My mom god scared when the little girl started talking. I think mom and pam were creeped out about that place. We decided to go to an irish pub for lunch but it would be a long wait. We decided to go to the cracker barrel to have lunch. We waited and looked around the shop until they called for to be seated. We had a delicous breakfast. i had the french toast which was really good. Afterwards we went back to the hotel sat around for a little bit. We got ready then headed downtown to go to a speakeasy. They had some very good drinks i had a sour whiskey which was very strong. Nicole met up with us but then she had to go. We had a good dinner. I had the spicy chicken with Truffle fries that were very good. Then we went back to the hotel to go to bed. 

Last day 4/17/21: We got up early since we were going to breakfast at the Denver Biscut Company. We packed up all our stuff. We downtown then stopped at the denver biscut company. We parked in and waited for 15 mins until they let us in. We sat at a booth and talked. they had good music playing in the restaurant it was grooving to it. I order the french toast biscut. It was really good with the syrup on it. After we were done with our food. we had to sadly say goodbye to nicole. Then we headed to the airport to drop off Teresa. It was hard to say goodbye to my sister since she lives all the way in Chicago. After we said goodbye we head off towards home (did I mention we saw little antelope when we drove to the airport). We stopped at some gas stations (chad the navigation system on my mom's phone took us a different way) Then we stopped at wendy's for dinner. We headed towards home. By the time we got home we were exhausted and slept. We had fun on our girls trip. I do miss Colorado I can't wait for the next time we visit Colorado Springs. It was very fun. :)
