From Swamps to Mountains

Hey y'all! Call me Mousie, all my friends down south do. I ×as born and raised in Louisiana just outside of New Orleans. I do miss it sometime but nothing beats waking up in the morning and stepping outide to see the Rockies.
So, I've been in Colorado since Sept. and it has certainly been different. Winter was easier than I'd expected, though it came earlier than usualy with the first snow before Halloween. I've found some AMAZING hiking spots so far like, Lookout Mtn., and Elk Meadows. Blows my mind most places I've seen don't have central air! It isn't that nice of weather to only have fans in the summer.
I've made a few acquaintances since moving up here but not any friends. To be fair, I'm not that social. Life has made me cautious and on-guard. I love animals and nature the best. Sitting in the backyard with the pups, watching the birds or looking at the mountains. Hopefully I can find a job soon, though I do kind of enjoy Housewife life.
