Looking for...
Current mood:  accomplished

I have a project I need help with. Because I perform at Festivals as "Professor Greenman and Kwiplick", I have a small following of fans. Making people smile and laugh is what I enjoy doing, and I'm a firm believer in bringing magic into the world -- and sharing a passion is one way to do that.

About twelve years ago, there was a website called "Enchanted Folks", where creative people shared a passion for fun, creativity, and a love of faeries. Unfortunately, internet trolls began to invade to post hateful messages, attack people for having joy in their lives, and just generally did everything they could to destroy the happiness the site generated -- and even more, unfortunately, they won; the site fell into disuse as people fled the negativity.

I want that joy back in my life, and I want to share it with as many as possible. To that end, I want to start an 'Enchanted Folk' group here. Is there interest in a project like this?  If so, comment and let me know!

My First Blog Post
Current mood:  amused

Okay, I admit it -- dressing up as a Wizard and carrying around a Hobgoblin puppet at Faerie Festivals makes me happy! There is a certain magic in making people smile, so I try to do thatoften. Of course, there are consequenses -- lots of hugs for the puppet, lots of requests for pictures, and occasionally, the Faerie Muse stops by to whack me upside my head to promote some creativity. This happened recently, and here's the result:

Pranked

By Robert De Hwyl (Robert Waldbauer)

My keys have gone missing, and so have several pens –
I had them just a moment ago, so they vanished exactly when?
My screwdriver and wallet disappeared yesterday…
I think I know who is to blame… The fairies are at play!
They mean no harm, just mischief, to cause them such delight
They laugh with glee to watch and see us hunt until the night
And when we least expect it, they’ll come up from behind

And leave us the lost object to finally see and find.
Sometimes the things that disappear will never quite turn up –
That is, until one replaces them, then, inside a cup
One finds the missing object, quite visible to see
And says “It must have been there all along,” though that could never be.
“I just looked there!” someone will say, and someone else will nod –
then both of them will shake their heads and mutter, “How very odd!”
and then the Fae will laugh and smile for most of the rest of the day
at the reaction they have caused by the mischief in their play.
