original sin
Current mood:
complacent
just like the apple in that fateful garden, I took one bite out of you and my future crumbled. you flew in to my life, a temptation laced with deadly cyanide, ruby red lips spoke sacred tongue, your ancient words held my heart hostage. marble wings, snakelike incantations etched into the sides, i should've seen it coming, our downfall clandestine. but alas, I was too wrapped up in you, your wicked ways held me spellbound. and i gave in, i indulged in your forbidden fruit, my entire existence shook, you had defiled me and yet it is i who is considered at fault, who is pure no longer. you left me there to rot, i thought you an angel but instead you were a vulture, picking at my pieces as I lay there in agony.
