a warm welcome

   the title seems like such an antonym to what is going on in the world. is anyone else just squirming, trying to figure out what is the truth. there is something bigger going on. it all feels like a movie.
   speaking of movies, hi im jay. im an 18-year-old girl who was born and raised in the suburbs of texas. however, im soon bound to defeat the heat and move up midwest. honestly i am surprised that i even made it into the university that i did. it is this huge private institution right smack dab in the middle of chicago. where the streets will be my campus and i can forget everything bad that has ever happened to me in this town. who am i kidding? we both know i wont be able to completely forget, but at least this way ill be 1,543 miles away from anyone who caused me pain. not saying that there wont be souls who will do the same in the city, you didnt think i was that stupid did you? however, this time ill be different. and that is how i will make change. 
  there are so many other things to talk about. is there anybody out there?
