Realistic Writing: Molotov Cocktail
Current mood:
awake
This is for fiction purposes O.o definitly not a tutorial
So, I've been seeing some writers describe their molotov cocktails dangerously...
A safe way of making a MC is to have the glass bottle/container closed and a flammable fabric* tied around the neck. Making it this way ensures the thrower doesnt get the ignition fluid on themselves. So, how does it work? Light the fabric until a steady flame starts, throw it in front of the target towards the ground between the character and the enemy. Once the glass breaks, the fluid will light and will create a diversion or haarm the enemy depending on how close and how big the flames get.
* Not all fabrics are flammable linen and cotten are flammable (while plastic cloth such as polyester melts without catching a significant if any flame) also while lyocel and rayon burn, they may adhere to the skin causing severe burns and can injure the thrower this way which is not the intended use of the fabric in this case .
