greener grass was a fantastically bizarre satirical take on the soccer-mom suburbia lifestyle. when I say bizarre I mean it, I don't think there was a single point in the plot where I fully understood what was going on. it utilizes color in a way akin to "But I'm a Cheerleader", it uses a poppy color scheme reminiscent of the 50s to offset a bleak reality. it's strange to the point of being unsettling, even when there is no imminent danger. I would have given this film 5/5, but at times it seems the absurdity was just there for shock value and that definitely hurts my opinion of it.

should you watch it?
I say absolutely yes. if you like films like vivarium or other unsettling physiological thrillers, I highly recommend greener grass. be ready to be stuck thinking about it though, because it leaves questions to be answered.
