Cinnamon is hard to eat on its own but when mixed with sugar and baked into a pie It tastes delicious Syrup is hard to swallow But when mixed with water it tastes like tea The truth however, cannot be sugar coated And the truth involves you and me. I know you love me but how long will that last? Years, months, days? Will we get married like we say in our texts Or will I have kids with someone else? Will my son’s name be named Runaway or Rio, Because if he’s yours it’ll be Runaway Yet if you're not the dad he’ll be named after you. Because even if you're not in my life I still need you, In some way shape or form, And that's a hard thing to swallow. It's like putting syrup in a sippy cup, It's still going to be the same old syrup that you couldn't swallow before.
