Cancer Category: Poems
Cancer doesn't discriminate between a race, It doesn't care about your "preferred" gender, It will take anyone to their final resting place And you can't return to sender
There are different types Some can be cured But there's so much hype That you have to be reassured
Women are taught at a young age That our breasts define who we are Without them, you can't find love, or even make a decent wage But we've come so far
You may loose a breast And that scares the hell out of you But Cancer didn't take the rest There's more work to do
You are still beautiful, inside and out Breasts are just fleshy milk bags That dry up like a drought And when old, they start to sag
A woman shouldn't be so defined But the "package" she carries If people saw into her mind They'd see a vast world that varies
Breasts were meant for our children It's ok if yours are gone They shouldn't be like some prized possession You'd display out in your front lawn
They sag, they hurt, they sweat and itch, Really, having them can be a bitch! You didn't lose the best part Because you still have a beautiful heart
Don't ever feel less than you are You're a survivor, with battle scars!
