Police Brutality

Police brutality is an ongoing issue in the US as it affects and takes away thousands of lives each year. I don't believe in getting rid of the police system entirely but rather putting stronger people in higher places of power to keep the police in line. There also of course needs to be more severe consequences for the horrible actions police do and the overwhelming power they use against citizens. Another way police abuse their power is through the legality of having sex with someone who is in custody. This leads to rape and the victims often feel like they can't speak out or say no due to the imbalance of the power dynamic. Homes with cops in them are more likely to face domestic or sexual abuse. These cops are evil and the ones not quitting their jobs or speaking up are just as evil as the people who commit the crimes.
