what happens after death?

Here is my theory on what happens when we die...I do not believe in the popular belief that when we die we either go to Heaven or Hell. I don't want to get too deep into why but to me it sort of just seems like society pushes that idea into our heads that if we do not conform to the ancient writting that tells us right from wrong that we will be doomed for all eternity. I would rather do the things I want without being juged, life is too short.Here is my take... death feels like the time before we were born. It is literally impossible to remember how that felt because it was just empty nothingness. Our souls, or consciousness is an orb/everchanging mass that takes a cacoon of a creature for some time until it rots. Right now, I have taken on the cast of a human, but when I rot I will search around until I find a new place worth living. Maybe I don't get to chose what I become, I wouldn't know. When we die, our souls remeber all of our past lives. I'm done for right now cause my laptop is overheating from my writting, but if anyone would like to send me their theory on life after death just shoot me a messege :)
