My special interests include music, filmography, astroscience (mainly astronomy), neuroscience, animals & reptiles (mainly snakes), geology, geography, mapping, study of religions and various social justice issues.
Music
Too many artists to list, too many genre's to figure out. I'll share when I share.
Movies
I am very bad at picking favorites but some I could list are: I'm Thinking of Ending Things, The Before Trilogy (now tetralogy), Harold & Maude, and now I'm beginning to realize I have trouble listing things. Suddenly every film I've ever loved or cried to has disappeared from my subconscious.
Television
Multiple shows but mainly watching Community over and over again, on an endless hell-cycle. Lost track at 17 rewatches, at this point I'm just pushing myself until I inevitably lose sanity.
About me: I've lived in Portland for most of my life, grew up playing music and seeing gigs. Also a huge stand-up fan, I'd probably try an open mic if I owned the confidence. Art has always surrounded my life, living near the Portland metro area during early childhood. Even though I've lost the ability to play most of the instruments I grew up learning (…well), I still try to sing. One day, my goal is to have my own cello. Ironically, I'm hard of hearing. I love to write and to learn about what fascinates me. I also probably smoke too much weed, but I've been clean from most other drugs since 2020. I've dealt with short term memory loss since before any of that, but the copious amount of drug use did not help. I often need to be reminded what I am doing or saying or what I have previously said or done, getting lost in public spaces is very easy for me to do, so I prefer to be around people who are weary of that.
Who I'd like to meet: Various artists of all mediums, kind and adventurous people, people with similar interests who either study on their own time or through college. I prefer to be able to hold long, sensible conversations when it comes to something or someone that intrigues me. I like people who can admit that they're funny but only if they actually are.
