   Ben Franklin's Blurbs
About me:
benjaminfranklin In life, I was born in Boston on January 17, 1706. I was the tenth son of soap maker, Josiah Franklin. My mother was Abiah Folger, the second wife of Josiah. In all, Josiah would father 17 children. In 1729, I bought a newspaper, the Pennsylvania Gazette. I not only printed the paper, but often contributed pieces to the paper under aliases. My newspaper soon became the most successful in the colonies. This newspaper, among other firsts, would print the first political cartoon, authored by myself. During the 1720s and 1730s, the side I devoted to public good started to show itself. I organized the Junto, a young working-man's group dedicated to self- and-civic improvement and joined the Masons. In 1733 I started publishing Poor Richard's Almanack. Almanacs of my era were printed annually, and contained things like weather reports, recipes, predictions and homilies. This almanac was under the guise of a man named Richard Saunders, a poor man who needed money to take care of his carping wife. *chuckles* I enjoyed writing that. With fondness and a sense awe, I remember the date of July 4, 1776. After adding my name to the Declaration of Independence, I can earnestly say it was a perhaps the most substancial thing I have ever done. Also, (I do not role play) I invite you to visit with me and update me on todays events. Good day to you! zxtk zxku

LEPRECHAUN 1993

St. Patrick's day had me involved in too many shenanigans chasing leprechauns that it rolled right on by without me being able to stop by. See you with more mischief next year.

Tried I did with all my might, but a zombie is slow, especially with too many green beers, lol.  I just didn't make it yesterday to wish you a Happy St. Pat's day so I'll wish you a good week.🍀🍺

Don't worry about the leprechauns. Worry about us. We are always up to shenanigans. Have a good week. :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day. May the wee folk keep shenanigans away. Enjoy your day and have a great week.
