(Murder House) copy/pasted from a discord rant I went on a while ago (with most of the commentary from my friends cut out lol) So American horror story murder house sucks and here's why Honestly it started off pretty strong, I love the aesthetics of the dumb old house and I like the spooky neighborhood with weird neighbors that bother you but as it goes on everything just gets more and more confusing. Like, I tried my damned best to keep up with it and by the mid to halfway mark I was so f***ing confused about what was a flashback and what wasn't, what had actually happened and what hadn't, all that sh*t, and I can't tell if it's an issue with the writing or the editing or me or all of the above it could very well be all of the above Honestly not knowing what the f*** is going on is usually an editing problem, and in this case the editing is just so fast paced and choppy it disorients your and that could work like really well if you know what you're doing, but I don't think the producers knew what they were doing Then there's the horror part of it. I really like horror with weird choppy editing and weird blurry timelines because it disturbs me, but this just confused me. Then as soon as you realize you're confused as sh*t and this show sucks BAM something unnecessarily disturbing happens and all of it is shown and I'm wondering why the f*** this show has so many seasons. The namesake of the season, the f***ing murder house, doesn't even really feel like an important part of the show. It just kinda is. There's supposed to be rules relating to death on the property and sh*t but they're broken so many times it just gets drowned out by, I dunno the romance??? The romance sucks too. Usually the saving grace for shows like this is the character relationships but I can't bring myself to enjoy the drama when the main sexyman, Tate, is f***ing horrible. I fee no sympathy for this man. The actor who plays him plays him really f***ing well, and I bought his character immediately even if I hate the "edgy teen psychopath" trope, but he did so much TERRIBLE sh*t in 4 f***ing k and we're supposed to like him??? Violet ran away screaming for her mom because he's a creepy weirdo who tried to kill her and we're supposed to feel sympathy for him???????? And her finally telling him to go f*** himself is f***ing retconned two seconds later because they get back together and it's weird and confusing and it hurts to watch and I hate it Friend- I’m not allowed to watch most of it bc it’s just horny sh*t That's incredibly fair. there's a character who's only trait is that she tries to seduce the dad and makes him think he's crazy Like it's so horny for no god damn reason! She's probably the best part of the show tho, cause she's reliable. She shows up and something horny is gonna happen that's gonna strain the family's relationship further and there's no terrible wrenches shoved in there that make me hate her storyline more then I already do by default 2-3/10 stars just cause the actors actually kill it and make an otherwise terrible show actually enjoyable enough to binge at 2 am while eating an entire box of Captain Crunch cereal. For a show with such cool looking poster art it's not even a stuck-up artsy film and I love stuck-up artsy films The House That Jack Built and Midsommar are two of my favorite things ever I've been told it gets worse then this???? For that reason alone I don't think I can physically bear to watch the remaining 376 seasons posting this in honor of me suddenly wanting to watch the second season because I have no life and am incredibly bored of rewatching shows I actually like rn  0 Comments

12/29/2021 12:36 PM  A Compiled List Of All My Fantrolls (to be updated) There's only three so far but I love all three of them very deeply also none of them really have names yet. will update this with motivation.  Hypno -male, fuschia blood, lord of rage, prospit sway  -bubbly and energetic sometimes, bitter, angry, and scared other times.      -can't control emotions and often has to put on a "neutral" face to avoid feeling everything      -destroys, controlls, and manipulates rage.             -the trauma never really goes away, but if you can manipulate those emotions, you can flip the script -full of love and full of hate. can snap. has multiple faces. has to embrace itself for what it is and let its emotions be *real* -obvious self insert and also npd/bpd oc Kurt Cobain -Or, alternativly, "Piss the Lemon Blooded Fan Troll" -albino (white, transparent skin) because it would be funny to have an oc with visible lemon yellow insides named Piss -but really tho it has a lot of internal issues that need to be addressed       -refuses to do so on its own because that would mean "surrendering to them" -Hypno's morial, cares about them deeply but can't express that, or any positive emotion, healthily, becuase it scares them.       -trauma-based hypoempathy, contrasting Hypno's trauma-based hyperempathy                -no it doesn't need to overcome its hypoempathy, if anything it utilizes/exploits it to fight/protect -Knight of Hope      -exploits positive emotions, trust, faith, and light to protect others. In this case, mainly its morail           -has to learn to overcome its nhilism to protect its team's motivation -weapon is a bright white and gold french bayonet -thinks of itself as a holy figure or servent, worships the "angels" of the moons         -the "angels" are actually prospit and derse royalty at war                   -prospit literally crashing into derse is like a thing in this session and it's horrifying  -obvious npd oc, wanna encorporate more narcissus imagry cause that sh*t is so ^w^ >w< Jellyfish Lady!!! -Light of my life I love her so much -She's got cool bright blue scars ment to look like jellyfish stings and I love that for her -Mutant blood like the other trolls      -But it's like, a really detrimental one cause' she's a mix of a blue (cyan) blood and a seadweller, and her lusus is an aquatic jellyfish.          -Much like most purple bloods her lusus can't take care of her because' it's aquatic, but she has gills and fins!!!! she should be able to swim with her jellyfish mom!!! but they're weak and half-developed so she just can't and that's tragic oh no -Prince of Life King Deeznuts Inyourmouth -Co-created with my friendo who knows nothing about homestuck because they were like "make me an oc named king deeznuts inyourmouth" and i said "that sounds like a fantroll name" and they said "pogger"       -We ended up splitting him into 2 versions, one is a fuschia blooded sea centapede (his) and the other is a rust blooded regular centapede (mine)  -He/She pronouns, schizospec tguy swag, believes herself to be royalty despite. not. being that.  -In a different universe and session than other guys -Not sure about classpect yet, would likely be either dual or derse sway  0 Comments

11/27/2020 05:18 PM  Odd Blooded FanTrolls This is a pretty unpopular opinion in the Homestuck community.  I LOVE weird blooded fantrols. The colored blood opens up a whole mansion of creativity that people really like to shame. I understand not allowing it in RPs, but shaming fantrolls (especially the ones made by children) isn't fun.  Disclaimer: Any odd blooded troll would have been killed off in canon, but that doesn't make it bad or over-powered. I would reccomend making them under an AU or creating your own fannon meteor where the hierarchy is less crule just for the f*** of it tho (holy sh*t if you do this I love you, using a fandom to jump start your own universes is super sick) There are some rules that I do generally stand by when it comes to OC making, the most notable being a) don't make the character super over powered, b) don't make the character flawless, c) don't make the character adored by everyone. The reson for this is that it's f***ing boring, not that it's cringe or a crime agienst humanity. But rules are made to be broken.  Lemme go over some of my favorite tropes and why they shouldn't be bashed into the f***ing ground.  Glitter Bloods- Not so common, but super f***ing epic. Your troll BLEEDS GLITTER. F*** maybe glitter bloods are all fairies or some fancy glittery sh*t, like the cannon sea dwelling trolls.  Multicolored and Rainbow Bloods- These are pretty neat, but pretty looked down appon. I like the idea of them a lot. I feel like rainbow bloods would be super rare and multicolored ones much more common but still considered an anomaly.  Black, White, and Grey Bloods- OOoooo this is dangerous. I love these guys. Black and white are pretty basic, refreshing colors in my opinion. I don't really know why these are so controversial, other then the fact that they've been stated to be impossible. But so has glitter blood. We're working under an AU here, greyscale blood can exist.  Pastel Blood- One of my favorites. I especially like it when albino trolls have pastel blood, even though that's not how albinism works. It tyes into the theme of light colors that would likely come with an albino troll's design. Besides that, I just really like pastel colors okay leave me alone >w< Honestly you don't have to rationalize why your respective blood colors exist, even though rationalizing it would be better in a story telling sence. I, for one, am terrbile at story telling and purly enjoy these blood colors aesthetically, and you know what, that's okay. There's a lot more possibilites that I havn't touched on, but my small brain can't process any more right now. The point of this post- Bullying children is stupid and glitter blood is badass as f***.   2 Comments
