MySpace Tumblr

So 3 years ago I decided to make a MySpace-Esque Tumblr under the username MySpace-Era-Freak for myself to post what was considered "cringe" content from my MySpace days. Scene, emo, goth... etc. Things that were hella dope on MySpace back in 2007 xD I made the blog into what my old MySpace once was. I started uploading glitter graphics and old icons I had stored away for years, making it into my own personal lil MySpace corner. I thought nothing of it being found, but eventually, to my surprise, people started to follow it... at this very point in time I have 7,289 followers! It took off way more than I ever expected it to! I was reposted on reddit and Facebook, 4Chan as well being talked down about, called "cringe" and everything negative you could imagine sad people with no lives post about to sites like that. It didn't detour me, though... I knew it would happen. Surprisingly enough though more positive came out of it than negative. I noticed more and more scene teens , "Nu-Scene" kids and Emo kids popping up with the "OG" MySpace feel and following my blog. I searched prior to the creation of my blog for people to talk to with those tags, but little to none existed... then all of the sudden, BAM, the gang was all there! I'm so glad that I made it! Then, in late 2018, I was made aware of this website "FriendProject", which made my f***ing heart stop! I couldn't believe a website just like MySpace would ever be created again due to the "outdated" look and feel of the former website. We'd all moved to other forms of social media, leaving MySpace long behind. Though I still use it to this day, it was never the same as it once was and never will be again.... I dropped the dream that something like this could ever exist again due to all of the factors listed above. I'm still in shock! A big thanks to those who made this website possible!
