07/09/2020 09:52 PM  Wear a mask goddammit Current mood:  aggravated I'm hoping most of the poeple who read this have common sense, but for those who don't: If you go out in public, WEAR. A FVCKING. MASK. Today my family and I found out that someone at my dad's workplace tested postive for COVID, and now it's closed under quarantine for a week. My dad got tested today, but he won't get his results back until sometime next week, meaning he could possibly have the virus and spread it to everyone in the household. My dad fears spreading it to us so now he's wearing his mask at home in addition to when in public. Yes, you read that right. He has to wear a mask in his own home to keep the rest of us safe. I'm really hoping that he tests negative, or at least, is asymptomatic so that he won't have to suffer just because some dumbfvck thought they were invincible and went out to party. This is fvcking ridiculous. I'm sick of this sh!t. I'm sick of COVID. I'm sick of the Annoying Orange in chief telling lie after lie and not giving two sh!ts about his own citizens dying. I'm sick of these stupid fvcking anti-mask motherfvckers doing everything in their power to not take 10 seconds to put on a mask when it could save lives. I'm sick of all the Karens and Kens constantly bitching about wearing masks. I'm sick of being stuck at home. I'm sick of 2020. Wear a mask. There literally isn't any excuse to not wear one at this point. Disposable masks are cheap and plentiful. Cloth masks are reusable and sold in so many designs that you're bound to find at least 1 you like. If your breathing is so bad that you can't handle wearing a mask for a few minutes, then you shouldn't be out in the first place; if you can't handle a mask, then you're really not gonna be able to handle being on a ventilator. No, wearing a mask won't stop you from getting COVID; literally everyone knows this. But it will help lower the spread, and with 3 million+ cases in the U.S alone, we need that. Look at all the evidence that says this. Look at the CDC. Look at the WHO. Look at the experts instead of whatever the fvck you're reading from some anti vaxx tin-foil hat psycho on Facebook. Wear. 04/14/2020 02:10 AM  Blocked by Pierce the Veil- a rant. Current mood:  crushed ***Trigger warning: P*dophilia*** I wish this wasn't my first blog post. This is partially a vent post, and also an informational one I guess. Yesterday, I was blocked on Twitter by my longtime favorite band, Pierce the Veil. Why? "For what crime must I have committed to get this treatment?", you may be wondering. The grand crime I committed was *drumroll*...............Telling them a pedophile shouldn't be in the band. That's it. For those who don't know, in late 2017, Mike Fuentes, drummer of PTV, was exposed for having sexual relations with underaged girls (15-16) when he was 24. At the time, the band replied to the situation with a very brief statement that can be summed up as "We're investigating this matter and Mike is stepping away for a bit." However, in a new video released yesterday which showed the band performing "Hold on till May" over skype (or Zoom idk), it showed that Mike did NOT step away from the band after all; despite being exposed as a pedophile, he's still in the band. It's this that me and alot of other fans had a problem with. "Are you seriously ok with having a pedophile in your band? Could you not find another drummer? Could you please mention the giant-ass heffalump in the room?!?!" was what we were asking. We weren't rude or trying to be rude (at least, most of us weren't)- we just wanted answers and our concerns to be heard. Our concerns were not heard- instead, they were ignored and immediately rejected. The band not only hid tweets of fans who mentioned the Mike situation, but also blocked their accounts as an extra "f*ck you". I was one of these accounts, unfortunately. I honestly thought PTV cared about their fans and listened to us, so when they blocked me and others for bringing attention to the situation, it really hurt me. I've been a fan since 2013 and their music helped me get through really tough times, so to be treated like this by the people who basically saved me feels like a giant stab in the back. I've been supporting you endlessly for years but the moment I raise even a slight complaint, I immediately get blocked? What the actual f*ck??? If this is how PTV treats their fans who raise concerns about there being a literal PEDOPHILE in the band (a band whose fanbase consists mostly of TEEN GIRLS, might I add), I don't want anything to do with them anymore. It breaks my heart so much to know that these people actively support and defend Mike so much so that they're willing to treat their own fans like sh*t. I really thought they were better than this.
