Earthquake day!

Well, another day of the holidays. Another day of lockdown. Now I wrote a slightly longer post about this but it got DELETED, so here is my second, impatient attempt to summarise my day.

My Mum and I were going out to the doctors so I could, among other things, get up to date on my shots (for some STD vaccine I'd missed in school). I had to get a shot in each arm, so now my arms are deadened and tired and aching, especially the right. Horrible. It's not the sinking in of the needle that hurts- that only took a moment- but the aftermath. Oh the terrible aftermath.
Anyway.
While we were waiting for the Nurse to return with my shots, and as we were admiring the small, robust storage of COVID vaccines in a fridge opposite, the world started shaking. When it first started, I thought it was me. Was I having some strange, mild form of PTSD from sleeping next to a laundry and getting rocked to sleep by the washing machine every night? But then everything started rocking harder, and the nurses evacuated us out of the building, at which point the tremors swiftly stopped. It was a level 6 earthquake according to the Richter Scale, which makes today the most exciting day in what feels like a bajillion years. Hooray. Except for the property damage. Hooray.
