Down the Mossy Lane:

Searching. Nonsense.
All those years gone by.
The thread stretches,

'til it screams to break.

Solitude decries the lie.
The sun sets deeper,
The shadows lengthen,

'til all is swallowed in darkness.

One last petition, attenuated.
Give up, it has no real meaning.
Walk down the mossy lane

'til no one hears your footsteps.
