Paul McCartney
I feel like I immediately need to make a post dedicated to the man who made me who I am, whether he knows or not. And I also feel it's safe to say that you reading this now, already know who Paul is, and that makes my job a whole lot easier, as I can skip the biography part and get right to how he's relevant to this blog (which he very much is).
I have many people ask me in real life and online, "How did you get into the 60s?" and simply put, its because of The Beatles. You know, that small indie band from Liverpool?
Anyways, the question that follows is normally, "who's your favourite?", if they care enough to ask, that is, if not, I'll tell them anyways. Honestly, I think my favourite should be George, and maybe I wouldn't be seen as 'basic' with my choice, but I can't help it. I say choice as if I had a say in the matter, but it was always Macca. And here's why:
Paul as a person, is one I really look up to. He's had a lot of character development throughout his life, from his bossy and slightly egotistical attitude near the bands break up, to his beautiful humbled personality that he shows now.
Remember, he's been told he's a legend by the majority of people he meets, and has been famous much longer than he hasn't, its only natural to think highly of yourself this way. But he got over that, and even admits it, which is fab really. This queen also puts friends and family first; after marrying Linda Eastman, he acted as a father to her daughter, Heather which is so admirable. And do I even dare touch the subject of Lennon-McCartney? The fact that
John and Paul existed at the same time and then found each other? βββββββI can't comprehend how lucky we are to be living in the same time as them (sort of). Literally the most amazing song-writing duo of all time CHANGE MY MIND OH WAIT YOU CAN'T.
How he's inspired me: I write my own songs I'm Vegetarian I prioritise the important things in my life My dream is to be a musician
So this is just the beginning of my page for Paul, and I suspect I will be adding to this many more times in the future, or whenever I listen to "Here Today" and get a sudden Paul adrenaline kick (which they should definitely sell as pills btw)
