My Guardian Angel Category: Poems
Current mood:
blessed
I saw an Angel soaring through the clouds & sky Soaring threw the sky at an angle Diving down To the ground And to my surprise What did I see Was that she was headed straight for me She looked oddly familiar Like I saw her somewhere once before And it struck me to the core Because I never saw an angel before Then she spoke in such a loving & calming voice
She said... "You have not been very good You're not behaving like you should I must tell you that you have a choice Either turn your life around Or face the Devil's sound An eternity underground God loves you I wish I could make you see That he has done a lot for you out of his love & glory"
Then she said... "The great Lord sent me to tell you this Because you're headed down the wrong path Please turn your life around So you don't face God's wrath Before I leave You get one wish And God will grant it With pure bliss"
So... My wish was For my Mom to turn her life around And get off the drugs To be the woman she once was Then the angel flew off But before she was too far away to hear
She said... "Just remember. God will show his love Way up above" "One last thing I will tell you is Reach in your pocket You'll find a locket Then you will know who I am"
So with that she was gone All that was left from up a far Was a beautiful shining star After I got home Still in shock and dismay That God had sent an angel my way I reached in my pocket And found the locket I looked inside And found a picture of my sister I was shocked. For I have really missed her Now I know she is somewhere peaceful & safe And that made me feel better So better in fact That I must go for now Because I have a life to change And that life is mine and mine alone I've got to command the demons out of my life Because it's my own Once I'm changed It will be for the better Instead of sitting in jail Some time later I will break the chain that has been handed down to the next generation And bring some liberation A liberation of peace and harmony Because this life is a new life And it's worth celebrating
