So, the Ladyfriend and I are doing something fun. She's writing a horror story about a married couple. The only thing she's allowing to be known as of now(outside of She and I) is it's gory. Well, she's asked your Ol' Pal Vince to write some music for it, and I've already got some ideas percolating. TO type out the titles of my songs would be to give away information about the story. What I'm looking at here is doing what is essentially an OST to a written story. I asked her if she wants full band, electric, or does shewant it to be just me and CarolAnne(My acoustic guitar). She wants it just me and CarolAnne, and she wants it all in my style. SO. I'm gonna keep working at this, and HOPEFULLY we can make a fun masterpiece of multi-media. 

My nephew found an article recently that states they're federally sanctioning the hunting of Burmese Pythons in the Everglades in Florida. Normally, this would piss me off, but I get why. The Pythons are an Invasive Species. They're not supposed to be there. They're devastating the ecosystem. I've been told that where these pythons are, there are no rabbits or foxes, Whitetail Deer, Raccoons, and Opossums are down by roughly 98%. Why is this? People want them for pets despite a 2012 federal ban on the importation of the pythons, BECAUSE people were dumping snakes in the Everglades. While I understand that the natural habitat for Burmese Pythons is wet, and the Everglades match that, by dumping them there, we are introducing a species to an area to which they aren't indigenous, and therefore destroying that area.Now it's prey-for-pay. If you purchase a pet, and can't keep it, find someone specialized in the keeping of such pets, or a zoo, and see if they can take it. I promise you, knowing people with such specializations, they will help you to the best of their abilities.  Don't just dump your pets. I hate this, but understand the necessity.

So Joined up with a Fallout-style game on Dischord with my nephew. This oughtta be interesting. I'm garbage at post-apocalypse-esque games. Also, I've started working on a covers album, because of suggestions. I'm stumped on titles, and artwork, but I DO know I'm covering Blitzkid, Argyle Goolsby, Michale Graves, The Misfits, and Wednesday 13. I figger once I get that in order, I can start doing shows based on the covers before I start on the originals, and I already have a few of those to work on. Recently got the itch to go back and re-experience all the old Slenderman stuff I use to follow. Tribe Twelve, Everyman HYBRID, Dark Harvest, El ANdersen. Lots of fun there.

These moments are fleeting but not few. Today I learned a lesson I won't remember because my heart is smarter than my brain. Cherish the memories you make but don't wade. You have many more waves to catch. I sailed and stopped in the middle of the lake. Sunlight reflected off the vast, glistening waters. The sky was never so blue and the clouds never so full. It was beautiful and made me think about how I never wanted it to end. And it won't--not really. This wasn't the first and it won't be the last. I need to remind myself of that more often.  abby

I participated in the Pride parade here in Bergen today (well, technically yesterday seeing as I'm writing this blog post past midnight) and I am so glad I went! I thought about going last year but I probably felt too nervous and scared to do it and I also wasn't sure of where, when and how and so on. But this year I decided I wasn't gonna disappoint myself so I went to the dock here in Bergen where the parade started, in good time before the parade started, which was 2 hours away. I joined a group of participants from the Waldof Steiner School who were lining up to walk in the parade and joining them felt just right, seeing as I have been a student at that school in the past. Walking in the parade felt like I was being part of something amazing and beautiful, something bigger than myself. I and thousands of others walked to celebrate equal love and acceptance for everyone and it almost felt like a mix of Norway's Constitution Day celebration (which is May 17th) and outdoor Ibiza at the same time lol! Everyone was happy and just having a good time and there was love all around! :)Later the parade ended at Festplassen, a square in the city center of Bergen, where tents and a stage was put up this week and the whole facility went under the name Pride Park. I bought quite a few beers, bought some warm and cold food, danced a lot, talked to other partygoers and later went home with very sore feet, but happy to have taken part and experienced this amazing day! I'm definitely participating in Pride next year too and who knows - maybe I'll walk in the parade with a girlfriend or boyfriend by my side? Only time will tell...

So, things are not going well at work. In addition to excessively long hours, my boss is finding fault with everything i do and has put me on my last warning. Basically I'm so close to being fired its not funny.I hate my boss so much, I have never experienced such a raw feeling of hatred like this in my life. An actual physical feeling of nausea and contempt overwhelms my senses everytime i interact with him. When i need to cheer myself up, i do so by fantasising about him dieing in various painful ways. Im going to make s voodoo doll of him just to abuse purely for the cathartic feelings i will get from doing so.I know this is unhealthy and bad for my overall wellbeing. I need to get skills, increase my employabikity, but i am not sure how. If anyone has any suggestions, i would like to hear from you.

I was a big user of MySpace back in 2006-2009 and I was sad to see it go when Facebook took over and dominated the social media world. As much as I enjoy Facebook, I've found myself missing MySpace where I could customize my profile to make it more personalized and how I could have songs playing on the page as well. I heard of FriendProject from someone on YouTube and I thought I'd go and see what it was like and BAM, it was like nostagia train hit me big time and I almost started crying because I had missed MySpace so much lol!I also miss all the blogging I did on MySpace and I was pissed when they deleted all the blogs when they killed off the old website because I had years worth of blogging on there from trips to different countries and things I did in my everyday life. So I'm gonna try to resume blogging on here and keep people up to date, whoever wants to read these blogs.But for now, hello FriendProject, you are like the twin of my long lost friend and it feels so good to be back in a familiar environment and layout that I've been missing all these years! :)
