I like learning about people and the world around me. I think life is complicated, but it gets better when we keep working at it.
My taste in music generally skews toward any rock and roll from the Sixties through the Nineties, "new country" (think Garth Brooks as opposed to Hank Williams or Johnny Cash), and anything with rhythm.
I like a little of everything film, but my favorite movie of all time is Martin Scorsese's The Last Temptation of Christ.
I watch a lot of TV, mostly talk shows and comedies, but I'm not particularly picky, as long as it's entertaining.
I have two fully stocked bookshelves and am always looking for space for more.
There are no heroes. What we demand of each other can be ours if we focus on demanding it from ourselves.
About me: Seeking an alternative to the omnipresence of Facebook, I have returned to my roots. I am a professional producer, both of major stage/screen/TV and locally, and a wedding officiant ordained by the Universal Life Church (California).
I became an entertainment producer in training at the age of 15; I've since coordinated project development, management, and production for major companies and worked with such legends of stage, film, and music as Michael Jackson (the King of Pop), Barry Keating (six-time Tony nominated composer of Starmites), Harry J. Lennix (star of NBC's The Blacklist), Jim Steinman (Grammy-winning composer/producer of hits for such artists as Meat Loaf/Bonnie Tyler/Air Supply/Celine Dion/etc.), Oz Scott (noted television director), and others. I also consult locally with Beneficent Church of Providence on theater-related activity, sing with RPM Voices of Rhode Island (the Ocean State's premier gospel choir), and helped produce local band No Celebrity's recent benefit concert for the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation at Pilgrim High School.
Aside from that, I like to think of myself as a fairly normal guy, with a slightly crazy side at times. I'm told I'm attentive, good at making someone feel wanted, and that I listen to understand rather than waiting to respond, that I give great advice, and that people think of me as a reliable person. I've been called "sweet," "awesome," and "kind," but I guess that's for you to decide. I get along with most people. (I think tolerance and generosity are important, but not so far that you let other people control your life.) I love and appreciate my family and friends more than anything.
Message me if you'd like; I'm always willing to chat!
Who I'd like to meet: What, like in dating terms? Uh...
Drug and disease free, seeking same (420 friendly, but that's about my limit).
Driving ability a massive plus!
Ideally, a courteous, respectful soul with a streak of deviance and lust; smart, kind, easy on the eyes, and fun to be around.
Male. (Gay as hell, bitch; I value love over lust, and I'm looking for a genuine guy who is ready for a lasting relationship.)
Other than that... it would be fun to meet people with whom I can have conversations about things we're interested in. The people I like to hang around with generally have a well developed sense of humor and a bit of a weird streak. If you think that's a good start, we can chat a bit.
