EDGY ALBUMS YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT
Current mood:  excited

Bands you should check out pt. 1 (we goin in alphabetical order)
If i don't have a ton to say it's just because the music speaks for itself
DISCLAIMER - i am not christian but i can enjoy a good hardcore christian band)

Ambry ~  Holding On By The Blindfolds We Hide Behind (2005)
This album being made in the 2000s has those sloppy pop punk vocals, screams and nostaglic vibes.

American Football~ American Football (1999)
(Originated in Urbana Illinois)

If you don't know who these guys are you had to have been living under a rock. Give them a listen and you'll realize the impact theyve had on your favorite bands today. This album (and all their others) will show you exactly how it feels like to love, to lose and to grow up in the summer 99'. (Associated Genres~ Emo, Indie Rock, Math Rock, Post Rock)

American HiFi ~ American HiFi (2001)
(Originated in Bostan Mass)

This band reminds me of the soundtrack of American Pie, meaning,  there seems to be some heavy blink 182 influences and lots of good vibes. (Associated Genres ~ Pop Punk, Alt Rock, Power Pop)

An Early Ending ~ Bloodlines (2009)
(Originated in
Harrisburg PA)
 (Associated Genre ~ Metalcore)

Anchore & Braille ~ The Quiet Life (2012)
(Originated in Winter Haven, FL)

KDGOIHLX I LOVE THIS ALBUM *cough* anyway, This one is definitely an outcast among the rest of these albums. Anchore & Braille is the solo project of Stephen Christian from the band Amberlin. The melodies, the words and Christian's falsetto is heart wrenching. I could definitely see my hipster friends jamming out to this amazing piece of art. (Associated Genres ~ Folk, Dream Pop, Chillwave, Synth Pop, Indie Pop)

Anthony Green ~ Avalon (2008)
(Originated in Doylestown, PA)

As you can probably already tell by the song on my profile - i'm in love with Anthony Green. I chose this album because my favorite song by him appears on it (Dear Child). Anthony's music is extremly unique and his melodies are to die for. He still makes music to this day and every song he puts out is incredibly beautiful. His voice pierces your soul and his words rezonate with you for some time. Not to mention every song that ive heard from him gets stuck in my head almost immediately! His music has been a huge comfort for me throughout all the craziness going on around us all right now.

Architects ~ Holy Hell (2018)
(Originated in Brighton, UK)

Heavy The Dillinger Escape Plan influences.  (Associated Genres ~ Metalcore, Progressive Metalcore, Mathcore) FUN FACT: THEY'RE ALL VEGANS!

Artist Vs Poet ~ Artist Vs Poet (2008)
(Originated in Fort Worth, TX)

This album reminds me of growing up in the early 2000s. Flip phones, teased hair and tons of eyeliner. They have a pop punk vibe mixed with electronic sounds and synths - kind of like early Panic! in the album A Fever You Can't Sweat Out & maybe even some Metro Station vibes? (Associated Genres ~ Power Pop)

As Cities Burn ~ Son, I Loved You at Your Darkest (2005)
(Originated in Mandeville,
Louisiana)
Heavy screaming and a dark, and emotinal sound throughout the entire album. If you couldn't already tell - i just really like the sound of early 2000s metal/rock. (Associated Genres ~ Christian Rock, Post Hardcore, Indie Rock)

Atom & His Package ~ Redefining Music (2001)
(Originated in The Bronx, New York, NY)

This album is definitely not for everyone - because it's extremely unique and ahead of it's time. Atom & His Package has a consistent punk and electronic sound, with humorous observations and a dash of off key singing. Check it out !!! (Associated Genres ~ Punk Rock, Indie rock, Synthpunk, Pop Punk)

Attalus ~ Into the Sea (2015)
(Originated in Raleigh, NC)

This band IS a christian band and a totally rad one at that. Seth Davey's vocals pierce your soul as well as the melodies. Some of the songs on this album also include spoken word poetry- which is a very unique touch in my opinion. (Associated Genres ~ Christian Rock, Experimental rock, Alt Rock, Post Rock, Post Hardcore)

Aviator ~ Head in the Cloud, Hands in the Dirt ( 2014)
There is not much info on this band quite yet, but, they have heavy La Dispute influences in their vocals mixed with a little bit of Microwave. They have the perfect blend of heavieness and melody.

STAY TUNED FOR MORE AWESOME ALBUM RECCOMENDATIONS
