Religion

Been thinking a lot about religion today. I kinda want to be able to believe. I think if I did believe I would gravitate towards polytheism but I couldn't be a pagan. My ancestors are dead along with their way of life. I also don't want to take other traditions and claim them as my own. If I'm gonna have some gods they need to be new.

I'm still an atheist though and I don't see much changing. Even if I did believe, idk if I would pray or stuff like that. Unless a god can heal illnesses or smite my enemies without heavy human assistance, I don't see the benefit. If you can do anything you ask a god for assistance on without that assistance, why ask to begin with?
