Having recently updated Skype (by choice) I have to say I'm so far impressed, sleeker, faster to start up and the lame blue and white design has been replaced by a simple and more sophisticated looking black one. Have yet to try a call on it but I also notice a bunch of "Bots" you can supposedly talk to and learn languages with and sh*t, pretty good so far.
If you wanna go into stealth you simply hit "do not share my presence" or "do not disturb" which wasn't entirely necessary but I guess it works out if you like to be hidden, still looking at the features. Fairly certain this version is still in BETA who knows what bugs or glitches if any occur, they pretty much occur on many sites so not too concerned about that right now.
Same, though not very often fortunately. And when I do, I spoof the hell out of it and keep things as brief as possible. Zero personal info, no pics, no cam, no vids or related. :::shows Microsoft the middle finger:::
Eh, I don't care much about Skype's aesthetics as long as I can still block their ads and suspicious scripts - it's the telemetry in all of Microsoft's services which bother me. I rarely use it but when I do, I spoof it as much as I can. Hopefully, someone will offer an alternative which respects the user's privacy so I won't have to jump through several hoops just to use the blasted thing. Not sure why some are still waiting for "the anti-Christ" when Microsoft is already here hahaha... =DDDDD
